The Spring Equinox is a few days away, and as you look ahead to a new season, you might find that it’s time to start a new ritual. The great thing about Spring is that it represents rebirth, growth, and new beginnings. As we prepare for the arrival of Spring, we wanted to help our tribe to discover how you might use this seasonal shift to better your routine, practice more self-care, and discover how you can harness your energy to create a more positive life.
We worked with our Front-End Manager + Wedding Coordinator, Noah Bjork, to outline some practices you can integrate into your life to help you cultivate positivity, healing, and connection. Here is what he had to share:
“I believe many universal concepts are lost in translation as we present or express them due to fundamental differences in each person’s unique perception of reality. Reality being fluid, we are all shaped by our distinctive & deeply personal evolutions. Through your journey, what have you grown to be passionate about? What areas of your life do you see the greatest potential? What do you have faith in? When considering these questions, it’s important to understand that you are the one putting power into this experience through your own beautiful energy that is your life force. Passion, potential, & faith are all relatively simple words, but the emotion & energy we feed them is what allows them to give us something in return.
Anything that you give your life-force to, you are giving permission for it to give you something back. That is the art of ritual. It’s the consensual & intentional release of your power that steps you out of the ego & into a space of receiving from your higher consciousness. To simplify this practice, I introduced it into my life with crystals, but it can be done with any small token or bauble. I reserve 5 minutes out of my morning to set my intentions for the day while holding a crystal or piece of jewelry, my mind concentrating on what I want it to represent to me. Now, throughout my day, whenever I see it, it will bring me back to that space of intention & healing.
As you grow in your practice, you can incorporate additional elements into your daily ritual to enhance the experience & make it work best for you. I choose to light a candle as the first step to evoke sensory and to symbolically open my mind to the experience I want to attract. My favorite candles come from a local company called Crystal Candles, which have a honey agate in the bottom of the candle soaking up all the energy from when you burn it. After the candle is burned down, you have a beautiful crystal to use for your practice. If I choose to use a piece of jewelry for my morning motive, I enjoy using baubles from Baubles & Bobbies, another stunning local brand, as well as the motivational line of jewelry we carry at Heat°, designed to symbolize feelings and moments in time that tell our own unique story through meaningful pieces.”
